Underground Leak Detection Dubai
Buried pipe leaks located from the surface using ground microphones and tracer gas — so you excavate once, in exactly the right place.
Overview
Underground Leak Detection
An underground leak can waste thousands of litres before anything appears at the surface, and the traditional response — excavating along the pipe run until you find it — is destructive and expensive.
We locate buried leaks from above ground. Acoustic ground microphones detect the sound of escaping water through soil and paving, while tracer gas provides a definitive answer where sound alone is inconclusive.
You get a marked location and dig once, at the right spot, instead of trenching a garden or driveway on speculation.
Symptoms
Signs you need underground leak detection
If any of these sound familiar, it is worth surveying the property before the damage spreads.
- An unexplained wet or unusually lush patch of ground
- High consumption with no visible internal leak
- Pressure loss across the incoming supply
- Subsidence, sinking or lifting paving
- Water surfacing in a garden or driveway
Scope
What the service covers
- Ground microphone survey of the pipe run
- Tracer gas detection for buried lines
- Pipe route tracing and depth estimation
- Irrigation and garden line leak detection
- Pressure testing of the incoming supply
- Precise marking for minimal excavation
Our method
How we do it
Tracer gas is the definitive underground method. The line is isolated and drained, then a safe hydrogen-nitrogen mix is introduced. The gas is far lighter than air, so it escapes through the leak and rises through soil and paving to the surface, where a sensitive detector picks it up. It works regardless of pipe material and where acoustic conditions are poor — which is why it succeeds on plastic irrigation lines that sound alone cannot locate.
Every inspection is carried out by trained technicians using calibrated equipment, and you receive a written report with photographic evidence showing exactly where the leak is and what it will take to fix it.

Questions
Frequently asked
How deep can you detect a leak?
Both acoustic and tracer gas methods work at typical buried service depths; we assess the specific site conditions on arrival.
Is tracer gas safe?
Yes — the mixture used is non-toxic, non-flammable at the concentration applied and environmentally harmless.
Will you need to dig up my garden?
No. We locate from the surface and mark the point, so excavation is limited to that spot only.
Can you find irrigation leaks?
Yes, garden and irrigation line leaks are common and usually best located with tracer gas.
